Although many mainstream astrology books do not bother with superficial sun-sign compatibilities, Taurus is widely thought to be compatible with the earthy signs,Capricorn. and Virgo and Taurus is also considered to be good with Cancer, Pisces. and Taurus itself. Its relationship with Scorpio is often considered powerful and passionate, but rather complicated. There are many variables that determine compatibility in astrology, such as birth dates, birth months, birth years, position of a sign within the Sun, the Moon, Stars, etc. The signs listed as compatible with Taurus do not reflect an individual profile or individual reading as interpreted within astrology, but rather reflect a general guideline and reference to compatibility as dictated by variables such as Qualities and Elements within the Zodiac. Professional astrologers rarely boil compatibility down to just the sun-sign. The branch in astrology dealing with interpersonal compatibilities is called Synastry.

Taurus with Scorpio
There's a natural, dissociative 180 degree angle between these signs. Unlike Scorpio, Taurus has very clear red lines, and Scorpio's emotional messiness is not compatible with Taurus' orderly and constructive fashion. Scorpio's tendency to throw everything in the air on an emotional whim, is also incompatible with Taurus' calmer, preservative nature. Although these signs often attract, in more intimate associations Taurus has a tendency to feel unrespected by Scorpio, as Scorpio fails to consider Taurus' more refined nature. The Scorpian ways can also be somewhat offensive to Taurus' more refined senses. The result can potentially be an explosion between these signs. Taurus may much despise being undermined by Scorpio. Scorpio is perhaps the sign most equipped to unleash the emotional side of Taurus, which is highly neurotic and probably darker than the Scorpio's (although strongly repressed). On a more romantic level, Taurus males can sometimes get strongy ensnared by Scorpio women's sexual attire, however lacks in respect between them can make it quite a battlefield. This may actually be dangerous if the Taurus person is unbalanced.

Taurus with Leo
There is a natural, frictional 90 degree angle between these signs. Leo's easy, lightheaded approach can clash with Taurus' conservative, mindful nature. Although Leo's exciting ways can be quite attractive to Taurus, its tendency for "grand living" can be somewhat disconcerting to Taurus' pocketbook. It might dislike Leo's boisterous and boastful mannerism. In romance, Leo's more social nature may clash with Taurus' possessive nature, bringing about much strain unto the relationship.

Taurus with Aquarius
There is a natural, frictional 90 degree angle between these signs. Interestingly, it is Aquarius which is the more sentimental in this relationship. Aquarius does not like to feel belittled in any way, which Taurus may well cause him to feel as such as Taurus lacks appreciation for anything that is not well grounded in earthly thinking. That considered, Taurus may find some exhilaration in this relationship as Aquarius brings something fresh and exciting to Taurus' usually more bland, somewhat dreary life. Some problems may arise with Aquarius' less refined nature, and it may become too destabilizing for Taurus' basic conservative nature.
